“ If Korean celebrities FROM Korea are visiting LA and are coming here for Korean food, you know it’s about to be good! Tucked away in the corner of the Olyford Plaza (next to Koreatown Galleria), you’ll find Miari Noodle House—home to the most delicious and authentic Korean food. They specialize in homestyle cooking with some of our favorites being the pancakes, ox knee soup, and pork ribs with ripe kimchi. Everything was just bursting with flavor! Their kimchi appears to be made in house as well. The servers were super attentive and helpful! Everything about this spot was very unassuming, but it definitely blew us away. Highly recommend anyone to come check it out! They are severely underrated! Pro parking tip: Park in Koreatown Galleria and walk over! ”
Rebecca Chan“ Located next to the Galleria Mall in LA Koreatown. Authentic Korean home cooking. The beef tendon and chives dish was huge and likely for 2-3 people to share. It was over 40 for that dish. The dish tasted good. The side dishes were very good as well. Half the signs in the restaurant are in Korean only so it may be difficult for people who don’t understand Korean language. ”
Harry Zheng“ We went for dinner during the week. They have a lot of parking in the structure under the shopping center where they are located. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. It was like walking into someone's home. We started with boiled dumplings. The dumplings were so soft and pillowy. They were stuffed with meat and vegetables. They also bring you kim chi. You can get white or purple rice. They also have iced corn tea on the table for you. We got the ox knee casserole. Lots of fatty pieces of ox knee to flavor the broth. And lots of vegetables that absorbed the flavors of the broth. So hearty and comforting. The kim chi and clam soup with knife cut noodles was my favorite. The noodles were so soft and delicious. The clams were fresh and added a brininess to the soup. We also got a cabbage and short-rib soup. The large pieces of short-rib with meat still on the bone. The meat just fell off the bone. The cabbage just absorbed the broth. All the soups were so good and cannot wait to come back and try more. Service was friendly and so helpful. ”
Jason Sasaki“ Worth the hype. We got clam noodles, rice cake/dumpling soup, handmade dumplings. The noodles aren’t homemade but the broth makes it worth it. The dumplings are meat filled and delicious. Their green onion kimchi and radish kimchi cabbage kimchi. Apparently they also sell kimchi and Mandu dumplings separately (currently 10 each). They also have breakfast specials from 6:30-10:30am ”
Jessica Cho“ This is one of the few restaurants in town that never disappoints with both food and service. Even when it’s busy, the staff is always friendly and attentive. The 밀면 was delicious, though a bit on the sweet side. I think it would be even better with some sliced egg garnish on top. Still, I always enjoy my meal here—such a consistently great spot! ”
Liz Cho“ This place unexpectedly exceeded my expectations! The service is outstandingly good: friendly, attentive, and fast. The restaurant was full of people at lunch. The food is super delicious! The pork bone are perfectly cooked, and the rich broth is full of flavors. The fish tofu soup was very good too. Everything feels so homemade. The fire pot menu in general is amazing! Totally recommend! ”
Fang Phattha“ Came here as part of an Instagram collaboration (comped meal), and I have to say I’m so impressed by this authentic, local Korean restaurant! We’ve visited Korea, and this place definitely made me feel like I was back in Korea! To start, the banchans were yummy (my fave was the barley rice with kimchi). We ordered the kimchi pancakes, the combination boiled ox slices, and the clam casserole. The kimchi pancake was so savory and tasty. It could have been a bit crispier, but it was still delicious. The boiled ox slices and clam casserole were incredible! The ox and clam were tender, and the portion size was quite large! The staff was so friendly, and I felt like I was in a Korean home having a home cooked meal! Highly recommend this gem in Koreatown! ”
Jen“ Cali is getting cold weather again, so you know what that means .. soup weather! Parking: They’re located in a very small plaza with very limited parking. We parked in a parking garage across the street. Free parking lot or parking garage. Ambiance/Environment: They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of seating. We visited during lunch time, and it was packed. They also have outdoor seating with a tent. Since it was busy inside, we sat outside. Service: Everyone was absolutely courteous, attentive, and quick! We were constantly checked on. We got the pleasure of meeting the owners, and they were absolutely sweet. Everyone speaks limited English but enough to get by. Foods: 1. Spicy Beef Soup - This was sooo delicious! There was a generous amount of beef! The soup was piping hot, which was perfect for the cold weather. The clear noodles were cooked well. 2. Spicy Fish Egg Casserole - The portion size was huge, so it is definitely shareable. The soup was flavorful! It had lots of tofu and vegetables. The casserole surprisingly wasn’t too chewy; it added a nice texture to the dish. 3. Bibimbap with brown rice cabbage soup - The cabbage soup was good! The bibimbap was spicyyy. It contained a generous amount of rice and vegetables. No protein in this dish. 4. Boiled Dumpling - These were bigger than I thought! These dumplings were also FILLED! The filling was seasoned well and the outer layer was steamed to perfection. Pricing: LA is always expensive, but it was definitely worth it. The flavors were present and the portion sizes were generous for one dish. ”
